Its perfectly fine to fence! The bigger the better cause you dont have a 100 percent of taking anything! Ive guided on high fence ranches and hunted a certain buck ALL season and saw him only once!!! After season we saw him ALOT!!! They are smart and its still hunting to me.

Ya, can't expect people not to argue.. With that said.. why not, here is my 2 cents..
I have an issue with "canned" hunts where elk or sheep or similar are pinned and you get to pick your animal
and go shoot it. "Guaranteed hunts" if you will.. BUT, it's a legal form or hunting and while I don't do it if it's legal
and on a ranch and guys want to shoot "livestock" for meat then go ahead.
I have taken part in one fenced hunt in my time and it was for russian boar. Large ranch, they roam free and are still dangerous and tough to hunt.. I understand this one because you don't really want to turn a bunch of hogs loose due to the destructive nature of the animal. Although it's already happened and is causing issues. I have hunted them in the hills of MO also (no fences) where they have problems with them. None the less it's just not for me either. I spend most of my time bowhunting IL whitetails or an occasional bear hunt in Canada..
To add to it I suppose, what do others think about release birds.. Lots and Lots of bird hunts where the pheasant i.e. and released only hours or minutes before the hunters are turned loose.. sport shooting?

If it's fenced in, it's no fair chase to me. I'm dead against ANY fenced in areas, that's cheating any way you look at it I don't care if it is 1,000 acres, cheating, cheating, cheating. No P&Y or Booner should ever be in the books if it's taken in an enclosure.

I agree with this 100%, in fact isn't that the way it currently is...

[/quote] Not for sure, I would hope so." If you chase one far enough you can get it in a corner" (the sarcasm is free for those who take that statement literally).

Yep! No entrys are allowed in the books that are not considered fair chase. Fenced 200 acres or fenced 20,000 acres, not even close to fair chase!
