Visitor,I Can't speak for your area in Ala.
but where I hunt right after the rut I find bucks still with does for awhile.A big buck will stay with a dominant doe.I would see what is available for food at this time.A buck loses alot of weight during the rut and starts to try and build up to make it through the rest of the winter.Good Luck
