For the feeders at my deer camp we just use the big wire spools wrap them with the great big chicken wire have it held down with steeples and we fill it with ear corn. It has worked well for us for years. The ones we have hold 200lb of corn. We run a pipe down the center of it and tie it off between 2 trees. The deer reach in grab a ear or 2 at a time drop them on the ground and enjoy. Attached is a picture.

I use masterlocks that have the rubberized housing on them, year round leave them out there, only locks ive found that wont seize up in a sense, used other all weather locks, from brinks, with a plastic housing and those just didn't work. Can buy a 3 pack of those rubberized masterlocks all keyed with the same lock which is nice, they come in yellow, blue, black,
I use cable to secure my stands, though I suspect heavy duty chain would be better.
Buy a feeder.....or just a spin unit and attach it to the bottom of a 55gal drum.
