What is the story with that one Reb? How can the county stop you from hunting or shooting on your own land? I guess when things like that happen the locals can blame it on the flatlanders..........but that would be all of Florida.Fill us in Reb.

I voted not at all with regard to how much I hunt. It has raised the price of venison per lb on our table though.

Subdivisions on the Northside across the County line Road, On the Southside, On theEastside and aBusy Road1/4 mileon the Westside in the direction I use to shoot! I have 1200ft on the Southside of the county line Road, on the north sideacross the road is another county..All 4 sides have become RED flag areas!

When I bought in 1967 there was no countyline. There was a 2000 acre Tangelo Grove onthe North, a 250 acre Hemlin Grove on the south, a 20 acre grove of Valencias + 40 acres of Native Land on the west and 4000 acres of native land on the East all bordering my 40 of over 200 Live Oaks and Palmettoswhich I still have.....Man did I have the Quail, Snipes, Doves, Ducks, Turkeys, Hogs and Rabbits.Over the years we started seeing less and less.

OH, we still have the deer in Heards, but I would have to use Bow & Arrow or Crossbow which I have never shot.

I believe 09 is the year I plan to sell...Chilli's, Arby's and Publix areinterested...

I voted just not as much. The high price of fuel has curtailed a lot of extra-cirricular activities. End up staying closer to home.

i hunted after work 6 am cst in a high doe limit county and it was on the way home. sad news some one with permission to hunt there free was guiding and charging so the 1000 acres may be gone. one bad apple ruins the fruit salad. hunt harder kill more does and make freezer go from white to red . if we pay a dollar for a gallon of water why not 4 for gas? dream about that.

Yeah I'd say it affected my hunting...
Just in the fact that my hunting lately has cut into my familly vacation cost..
I'm entitled to six weeks paid vaction a year, but only opted
for a toatal of two weeks,in the two years, and took the rest as cash pay out the last couple of years (its in my contract)..
Only to go back to work and make more money.....
Am budgeting for the 2010 Winter Olympics for a familly of 6.
IDid tag out on a moose kill this year and an elk kill last year, each within the first couple of days of each hunting trip and ended up leaving early...
Normally I would have hung around camp, been a spotter, the official camp beach (cooked ,cleaned) got drunk and passed out for until the day we left..

I have a diesel and am paying about 50 cents a gallon more. It has made me think about going to a gas truck. I only live around 5 miles from my farthest spot. My main spot I just take my fourwheeler.
