what to do
this year i went out for the first time on a couple of occasions. between 4-5 guys we only saw two does on the first mornign of the hunt. the next time out it snowed and there were tracks all over but no deer in sight. i was thinking of planting some food plots but was wondering what would do well in the albany region of new york. also i remember reading about some type of mix(maybe deer cociane not sure?) a substance that you pour into a hole 6-7 inches deep and cover back upthat attracts deer like crazy. also other recommendations are appreciated.

The biggest thing is to put your time in outdoors, you will learn the best lessons that way.....
For northern deer the best food plot I have seen is Alfalfa or clover....you can try baits and attractants but with the limited use of such gimmicks they still tend to be nocturnal....
