What gun do I prefer, or what can gun can I use, there is a big difference.

I would prefer any centerfire over the shotgun and muzzle loader I am force by law to use.

.308 --- for longer range, overlooking fields, and basically, everything that my old .30-30 can't do. The .308 is legendary for its accuracy too. It is my #1 go-to gun.

.30-30 --- for close range, thick woods, heavy brush, etc... Even though the .308 blows it away, there is just something traditional/historical about carrying an open sighted .30-30 in the thick woods.
