I read it when it first came up... here is a brief idea of what happened (lets see how well I paid attention!)
- 15 hour drive to get to the guide service (central Iowa)
- when he got there, the guides buddy took him out to hunt
never did see or hear much from the original guide during hunt
- no stands set up.
- spend first day hanging stands with helper guy
- got chased off property he was hunting on (no permission - trespassing)
property owner said guide service had been tresspassing for years andhe was glad he finally caught him!
- guide hung stands in the middle of the night in the woodsclient was to hunt in the morning.
- client had a quad he was going to bring along, but guide said he had one
he could use... no such thing, so he used his truck to get around.
- parked truck in "secure"pasture and horses chewed paint off new truck($2,500 estimate to repair paint)
- demanded refund, guide cut him a check and he left for home
- got home and payment was stopped on check right after guy gave it to him (knowing he would take it 15 hours home to cash it)
