Probably between $6 and $9 per acre. One of the big problems around here with leasing timber company land is that the timber companies are getting out of the land owning business. With higher taxes, cost of land management, risk of fire, risk of storm losesand poor timber stumpage prices they can sell the land and just buy stumpage from the landowner thus leaving your hard work to the new landowners.
