Favorless wind not affecting the deer?
I was in Idaho after whitetails with the staff and four times I had no scent eleminator on and the wind blew right towards the buck or doe withoutscaring them AT ALL
From now on call me SCENTLESSMAN01. ha ha ha

Maybe they were used to human scent? People actually shy away at hunting land where there are many nature trails in fear of being interrupted by walkers/hikers, but I've found that it actually works in your favor to have them out there. The deer get used to the human presence after a while, because of the hikers,and they can't tell a hunter from a hiker.....until it's too late.

As you know you can't see a wind current. Sometimes they will blow the scent upward or between you and the game it might blow right or left.

Thermals, by gosh by golly, etc. The one thing I know for sure is deer will not smell me when the wind isn't blowing on their nose and I try to keepon my nose insteadeachtime I take to the field.
