Just wondering if im the only one that gets too dang excited the day before shotgun/rifle season opens up?? Im pretty sure the last few years i've been lucky to get a hour or 2 the night before!

I hear ya. Been there. This season was bad for me, for some reason I was exceptionally amped up. It's hard on the body hunting without decent sleep.You don't hunt as effectively and you don't enjoy it as much. For me, tobacco is the biggest culprit. I quit right after season because deer hunting is so important to me; I only have how many seasons left, and I want to get the most out of every moment of every one. I'm also going into next season in as good a physical shape as I can be, going to do yoga to get my mind and heart calm. I think I'd be a pretty good hunter if I could just get out of my own damn way.

i cant to nothing but hop and jump around i am sooo exicted when its a friday night waiting for saturday morning opening day!! cant get more then 2 hours asleep no joke!

It's like Christmas Eve for me

i just sleep like any other night.......

the when i wake up in the mornin im like a kid on crack and cant wait to get in the stand

i get that way first day of bow season and when i know im going to see deer in the morning. i think it makes it worse when you try to sleep.

It was especially bad for me this year, being that I hadn't really put much effort into hunting in several years. The feeling reminds me of Christmas morning when I was a kid.
