Kentucky 2nd rut?
Guy's this is my first year to hunt Kentucky ..I moved up here from Alabama last year ...I live in western Ky ...does anyone have knowledge of the "2nd rut" up here and when one could expect it to kick in ...also is it a light rut and well defined? Thanks guys and Merry CHRISTmas

greatpic and the second rut should be starting to kick in now.
Usually, exactly 1 month from the first rut.I heard they were moving pretty good last weekend in Crittenden so you should be right on for this weekend through this week.

yea i'v been seeing a few bucks chaseing doe's in crittenden county.i'll be in crittenden tommorrow afternoon.im gonna hunt from my blind with my bow and muzzle loader.i can kill two more doe's.i figured i would take the bow and use it out to 40 yard shots and use the muzzle loader for farther shots.dd i take it that your useing a muzzle loader too.good luck to all hunting sb4 d
