Get the points fixed. I have had two different mounts done and had the broken points fixed, and most of the time forget they were ever broken. They look great and show the buck in all his glory at his best.
The buck is an 8 point. He is a true 8.......with a broken tine. He isn't a 7 your adding points to, he's an 8 with a broken tine..........fix it !

I would mount it the way it was when you shot it.

It is really personal preference. I prefer to leave them as is, plus that is the way it must be scored. I know a guy who has the taxidermist put varnish on his deer's antlers to make it look darker and give it a shine. I think that it looks awful, but they are his trophies and he displays them the way he thinks looks best. I prefer au natural.

I'm having mine fixed, but I am the one that brokeit getting it out of the woods.

IfI shot it that way I would not want it fixed though.

this is how the deer is and it should remain the same in the mount.

I'd stick with that, JMO.

leave it that is how you killed it and fixing that point wont make you feel any different about the deer

Lots of opinions, but just to add one more to the mix, I would leave it as is. That is the deer you shot. Remember it that way.

I would never fix a point that I didnt break or cause to break. To me, it would be a lie.
