Cull him before he hurts someone. He sounds like the kind of guy that shoots into a bush cause he saw movement or shoots a cow thinking its a huge deer.

he sounds like he is an a-hole, looking to get everyones attention ,at everyones cost . if everyone at camp treats him coldly , after a stern talking to by the group he might fly straight ,personally i wouldnt be in the same woods with him.

I hunt public land and see a doorknob like that every year. Only thing is, while he is bumbeling arround in the woods, hes kicking deer arround, and he cant figure out why everyone is tagged out in 2 days! I actually had to take his rifle away once because he was talking stupid about shooting someone over a verbal conflict that didnt even involve him. I dont think he would have actually done it, But I took the opportunity to make him feel as stupid as he sounded.

Yeah, pretty much what they all said. Give him the boot. Now, if you find yourself feeling sorry for him on Thanksgiving, and choose to convince your buddies to let him hunt with you, then you take responsibility for the guy. You hunt with him all day, day in and day out. That way you can teach him what he needs to know while keeping him out of everyone else's hair. It's probably what he wants anyway. Sounds pretty social to me, text messaging while hunting and all....

I wish I could give him the boot. He doesnt accept our management ideas of letting young bucks grow (passing on 1.5 year olds and some 2.5 year olds) but when we talk to him about removing a few does off the property his eyes light up. Truth is he just wants to shoot something to make him feel better about himself. My brother and I have tried to persuade him, but he just doesnt listen. As for kickin him out, I would love to, only problems: He is our cousin/ nephew, and as someone posted before, i wouldnt put it past him firing a couple shots off if he got into a heated arguement.
