Deer Dogs
I need someone's opinion. My friend and I have permission to hunt some land behind my house and I have been scouting this land for the last few months while he has done nothing to it because he is in a hunting club in another county. Well I have gotten some really nics pics of 3 or 4 nice 8pts over my food plot that I planted so as a friend I showed the pics to him. So when the season opened last Sat. he has spent more time running his stupid deer dogs behind the house than going to his club. I don't see nothing wrong with running dogs but I would rather still hunt and this is pretty much the only place I hunt. So my question is after someone runs dogs how long do you think it takes for the deer to feel safe to start coming back around?

RE: Deer Dogs
We have dogs running around us constantly and I think the more often they get on my hunting property, the less I see deer. I have one area, the one that's been run through the most, that has deer droppings and tracks everywhere but I've sat two full days in the stand and didn't see anything. The deer will come back, but you'll be lucky to see them because they'll all probably nocturnal.

It is behind your house? Did you get permission or did both of you. If you got it then you set the rules. If not, then talk to him and ask him not to run dogs on the property as he has a club to do that on.
