To answer your first question, I'm from Michigan. Currently in the S.E. corner, but mostly hunt in the N.E. portion of the Lower Peninsula.
To the second question, it's hard to say. Maybe people think that's too much information. Maybe they just don't want to take the time to fill out their profile.
