    While stalking, I was trying to figure out how recent the activity was. Approximately, how long does it take for the droppings to turn black at 0 Celcius(32 F).

    The color is determined by what they ate recently not the time it hit the ground. If its wet its fresh. If its steaming he's laughing at you becasue you missed him.
