Just an fyi for the lady's and gentlemen hunting in the northwestern part of the lower pennisula of Michigan.
This morning I sat in my new stand location for the first time. I saw a doe before I even got sat down about first day light.715-730ish. Then about half an hour later another doe going in a different direction. THEN,,, about five minutes after that I saw a buck HOT on a does tail. The two of them came right at me from out front then did a 180 to my right about 25/30 yards out and went back the way they came from. Never slowed down enough to get my bow sights on either one of them.
How ever it is the last day of bow season and I will be hunting this eve. with the bow and again in the am with my rifle.
WISH ME LUCK.

The rut has been funny here in michigan this year. It's like you see a bunch of deer one day, then nothing for 2 days, then you see them again. With all of this goofey weather we have been having, it seems the rut has been delayed, but it is definately on, but it seems sporadic.
I saw many solo yearlings running around last night glassing the fields where I hunt and a few solo bucks roaming this weekend.
