I hunted yesterday 10/24/07 and had 3 different buck come to some light rattling, the last of the 3 was a shooter, there were doe's in the area earlier, but they were'nt with them? Buck i do belive that the bucks are now in the Seeking Phase. Thats for sure, would of went this morning but the wind is blowing +20mph and iam off Friday. Get in the woods and sit as long as possible, even with the Moon being full, they will move later in the morning, so you could always go to your stand around 8 or 9 am, I just like the cover of darkness to enter my stand.

Missouri is in Pre-rut from what I can tell so far. only found one bare cedar tree and no scrapes yet. but they are starting to move so it should start kicking good bout the firsts week of Nov.

Found 3 scrapes yesterday, all fresh. We're seeing some broken tines on the game camera's now. so I'd say it's starting.

Walked these Ouachita Mountains for 5 hours yesterday and found about a dozen trees shredded for 18" or more. Not a single buck has started to paw the ground though. It shouldn't be too long now for the west central area of Arkansas around the Mena area.
