RE: MS 194 B&C
The buck is a 15 point shot aboout a mile from Sibley (about 10-15 miles north of Woodville). I seen the picture on a board in the store (It is a BIG BOY). I have never seen any deer near that big come out of the area!
Benboy, where is Vaiden? Is it close to Woodville?
The state record for MS is 182 and the state record for LA is 184. A 194 class buck shatters the MS record. Usually you hear about 190 class bucks up north in Canada, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, ... not in Mississippi.

I don't know what it is but something is working. I hunt in Jasper county in east MS and we are killing some 130-140 regularly now. There was a time several years ago when there might be one 120 class deer taken ever year or so. I think the biggest from around that area that I have heard of green scored 167. There has never been a qualified buck come out of Jasper county.

Luke I stay in Jasper County (north of Montrose just off of Highway 15). What area do you hunt in Jasper County and what have you gotten this season?
You is right the bucks are getting bigger and there seems to be more deer period. I mean i can sit on my back porch at night and hear the deers walking in the woods. Last night my pitbull chained to the tree had a serious stir down with one. LOL

Ben,
I hunt around Lake Claude Bennett off Hwy 503 between Hwy 18 and Paulding. I got a doe with my bow and I shot a six point right before Christmas.
I also saw that you live in Louin. One of the guys in our club was hunting in Louin last week and took a 130 class 11 pt. His brother had already taken a 150 class from there. It was 1st place at Circle L for a while. I don't know if it still is or not.

I live in Jasper county about five miles east of Rose Hill. A friend of mine shot a 10 point typical in Yazoo county last Sunday that he thinks will gross score 170-175 B&C. I'll try to get some pictures.
