Default Hunters Specialties calls

OK guys/gals I have never used a call before except the can which I bought last year but didn't really get a chance to use it. I went out today and bought the Hunters Specialties Quad Grunter Plus with the o ring setting to change it from Mature buck grunt, young buck grunt, doe bleats and grunts and fawn bleat. Does anyone know how exactly to use this thing? Any help would be appreciated on using a call and how they should sound. I don't want to go and scare the deer away! Thanks

Not sure about their calls, but their scent eliminators work good!

Honestly, I've never had much results w/ calls of any kind. I have a magnum can, and a couple of grunt tubes. (Primos and a flextone.) Maybe it's just me, but my deer don't seem to pay any attention to them. Scents either. [&:] But, I have messed up an anvil or two in my life though! [8D]

The only thing that I've had luck with is the primos can. I actually called a little 5 point right up to my stand during last years bow season. He actually got within 10 yards of the stand and looked right at me. Other than that, I've never had any luck with any kind of deer call. Maybe I'm not holding my mouth right
