I need HELP!
Okay, so I know a lot of you on this forum know a lot about hunting. So I am 11 years old and I want to hunt. I have never hunted but I have been reading all about it by books, I also saw a guy at Dicks sporting goods that helped me with tips and some stuff. But my main question is I'm a novice so what would be good game for the young and inexpirenced hunter like me. Also if you have any tips, please help me out.

You could start out hunting small stuff like rabbits or squirrels. If you want to deer hunt I would recommend going with aseasoned deer hunter. You will learn a lot from them even if they dont want to teach. Just watch the things they do closely and youll pick up on things here and there.

You definately need to find someone older to go with. I'm sure your state DNR has programs that can help you younger guys out. Also, most states require that you go through a hunter's safety course before you can buy a hunting license. I would ask your instructor about state run youth hunting programs. Hope this helps....

RE: I need HELP!
I suggest enrolling in a hunter safety course. This will teach you the basics of safety, ethics and what to do with an animal if you are successful. You will also be able to make some friends whose fathers, brothers, uncles, grandpas, moms, etc... will more than likely be glad to take you hunting with them. As a youngster, in most states it is manditory to be accompanied by an adult while hunting with firearms.
Most importantly, make sure that whomever you trust your first hunting experiences with is ethical and safe. The hunter safety course will give you a gauge to measure this by.
Good luck,
Dan
