anyone ever lose land?

Have lost properties many times due to the ownership changing hands. Just before I purchased my retirement property, my friends and I working on a deal to purchase property together for the sole purpose of enjoying the outdoors (hunting & camping). Depending on land prices in your area and your income, might be something to consider for the future.

We have been hunting a 55 acre farm for about 3 years and the guy that owned it went through a divorce and just stopped talking to us. We call him and talk and try to get days together when we can go drive down and check the property but he never calls back. I am worried we wont be able to hunt there this year, and I have no where else to go besides my little 2 acres in the back on the house. I hope everything turns out good though.

AF hunter - that would be a great idea. i mean, just say you have 4 people buying a parcel of land, the payments prob. wouldnt even be that much, much cheaper than if 1-2 people were paying for it. i would love to get my own property, i hope i wil some day

I just did a quick check and found an 80 acre crop/timber for $1695 per acre in southern Iowa for a total of $135,000. Divide that between 4 people and you have $33750 per person. There are a lot of people buying cars for more than that! I've attached a pic of the property, which is bordered on the north by a river and croplands on the south.
