Default Lose Those X-tra Lbs!!!

I'm rethinking about all the gear that I've been toting around the woods,This spring,I'm only gonna take-1 slate,4-5 reeds,2btls of water,compass,2way radio, tolietpaper,By limiting myself to this, along with my shotgun & 3 shells-I think I'm gonna be able to make it back & not be tuckered out,I was wondering,How much gear,ya'll carry?
Good Hunt'n !!!!

Its hard to say when it comes to calls, usually 2 box calls, a slate call, owl hooter, crow call, pruning sheers, binoculars, insect repellent, bottled water and toilet paper and Im sure Im forgeting 3 or 4 things, but this would be pretty close to whats in my vest..

Like wacker said, "TOO MUCH." It's sort of like the pack rat in me. Sure as I throw something out I'll need it.

Let's see:
turtle shell call
titanium slate
4-5 diaphrams
Wingbone call
coyote howler
crow call
water
compass
GPS
Snicker bars
toilet paper

Bound to be forgettin' somethin'. Will probably add a box call to the list this year, too.

I USUALLY TAKE A ROLL OF WILDERNESS MONEY, SOME SNICKERS BARS, A COMPASS, MATCHES, A SLATE CALL AND A POCKET KNIFE, THATS ABOUT IT.

I might be getting a new Browning Gold Light 10 gauge that weighs a couple pounds more than my Remington Super Mag that I used last year. I'm looking to cut down as much weight as possible. My packing list will include: t.p. (worth its weight in gold !), 3 shells, seat, candy bar, knife, crow call, slate call, mouth call, and that's it ! Last year I carried a bunch of calls and extra gear that I lugged around and never used. I should be able to dump more than the two pounds that the 10 gauge would add to my load, (if I decide to get one.) - - Pointshoot
