Just a boasting post for my buddy and I. We went out Wednesday morning, and were just about to crawl out from under our "pine blind" and he says "deer, doe up on the ridge". I took a shot, grazed "her" side, and two more jumped up, all three ran right at us, he dropped the one I'd initially nicked, turned out to be a button buck, and I dropped another doe. He double lunged+hearted his at 33yrds, made it 10yrds, and I got mine in the neck/spine at 28yrds, fell straight down. His dressed 124#(big button buck), not big but an improvement on his reg. season doe (his first deer, making this his first buck BTW). Mine was 181# dressed weight, never thought I'd top that 177# gal I got in reg. season. Working on pics...

Congrats on your deer . Two of the guys I hunt with did almost the same thing this year , One of the hunters shot a doe and she fell on a buck ,which caused him to get up, so the other hunter was able to take him . It was a nice 8 point buck .
