Our Archery opener is this sat. my 11 year is coming with me, so he can sit in the stand and see how things are done. His younger brother wants to come, but its tough with only me, and no way to split them up. any suggestions on setting up with both of them? together they'll never make it 5 mins without fighting.

Ground blind and sit in the middle!
My 11 year daughter will sit quietly with me, however my 9 year son gets restless after 15 mins. He's not really ready for hunting, but still hounds me that he wants to go with me. So I take them together on days that I mentally prepare myself for "when are the deer going to come" every 5 mins or "i'm hungry" every other 10 min. etc.
It's all worth though, and when we do see deer of either sex, the kids can't take their eyes off them and GOD FORBID if i say anything, sshhhh Dad, your going to spook the deer????

I'll be taking my 12 year old down to the farm for IL firearm youth season, first weekend inOctober.
He's pretty hyped and I'd love to be with my son as he takes his first deer.

My son who is 8 has taken 7 deer so far.. My daughter turns 6 on the 17th of September... She wants a pink 22 rifle.. That we saw at the taxidermist shop... So I hope I have the same problem you have one day....
