Default Storm hunting

The last day of the season we're going to be plagued by storms. What will the deer be doing through scattered storms? Holding tight or moving about?

Depends on severity

As long as it's not severe I've seen deer move more.

In severe weather the deer tend to hole up in pines in WI

I've found that during the storm they tend to stay put. It's usally good hunting right before and right after though.

I will agree with model722, deer tend to hunker down during a storm but get on the move once the storm lets up and also move before it hits.

If its just rain they seem to move around quite a bit here but if it is high winds they will get ouf of the heavy cover into sheltered areas . I have seen a lot of deer movement during the storms we had this year in season,we just didn't have enough of them most of the season was hot and dry . During a storm is my favorite time to hunt .

I find the best times for deer movement are just before a snowstorm begins and just as it is ending.
