beagleman28-Is there any way that your friend could get this buck scored?With such a wide range of estimates(140 to 170)it would be interesting to see the actual net score.Taxidermists or hunting clubs can usually refer you to a qualified scorer in the local area.

I tried to talk him into getting it scored at the annual hunting show. He didn't want to go through the hassle of it. Anyway, in VA a differnt measuring system is used(Va scoring system?). I don't know anyone in the area who is a B/C or P/Y scorer.

I would score him against the grain, Season with salt, pepper and a little flour and saute in butter with mushrooms, shallots and brandy...but I'm no expert!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
