Hi everyone, I'm new here and have a very broad question. Say you could build a nice hunting retreat with money being no object, what state would you choose and why? Which state has the most hunter friendly laws and the longest seasons?

I havent hunted any other state personally and everyone is going to have their own opinoins on this but im going to have to say my home state of ILIINOIS!

Depends.....If you are a trophy rack hunter you will have to pick a state like Illinois, but if you want liberal limits (200 legal deer per year per hunter half of which can be a buck) come to Bama.......

Montana if you live there but Colorado if you have to hunt out of state

I would say, TN, on the Tennessee-Alabama border, best of both worlds.

Best places to hunt...hmmmm certainly not Vermont.
I haven't been there but Alaska has to be right up there.

CA.....unique having blacktails......season can go from July to October!!!

but really...any state besides CA...no feeding of big game, regulations fairly strict, lots of hunters...
