My Grandfather's old kinda overgrown apple and pear orchards in Williamson county IL.

Grampa died and the orchards were sold by my "Grandmother" (his second wife - Lucielle). The orchards were supposed to be left to my Dad so we could always hunt there. Grampa loved seeing his son and grandsons hunting out there. He was so proud.

Grampa's "will" was written out on paper. He didn't like lawyers. After his death, Lucille said there was no such will that she could find. She said he "probobly had it hidden somewhere like all the booze bottles". She didn't need that property. Grampa was well off and she was left with plenty. Heck she was 80 then anyway.

He used to lease it to a guy who made cider. She sold it to him w/o even offering it to my Dad or uncles.

Well no use cryin over split milk.

Pope County, Illinois. I have about a four hour drive to get there but it's nice to meet up with the friends from all over the state and spend some time together.
