I don't think anyone was referring to you REDdot. It is very common for folks to say that 50 is it for fosters.

By the way....Where do you slug hunt for deer? (state & county)

i hunt about 500acre (roughly 160acre tillable farmland) in kandiyohicountyMN, it has about 40-50 acres of woods, alongthe lake shore oflake kandiyohi, also there are slu's with thick cat tails (deer love these for beds!)all around the shore line, following the lake shore, and dry grassland between the slu and farmland. i love hunting there!

My Browning BPS loves the new Hornady SST slugs... getting 2" groups at 100yds.. and I bought a few (10)boxes last year on sale for $6 a box. I've taken 2 bucks with them soo far... one at 110yds and one at 80 yds..the 1st deerfell within 10 yds (110 yd shot).. and the 2nd one shot in the shoulder (80yd shot).. which shattered both shoulders.. ended up in bottom of the ravine between where I was and where he was when I shot.. hit the ground immediately.. then tried to get up 3-4 times before he expired in the bottom of the ravine.
