Help with GPS

I posted a GPS question/recommendation in the gear review forum. If anyone has the time, please throw a comment my way about which GPS unit to get, and if I need WAAS enabled on it. Thanks.

i would ask one question what r u lookin to spend??? the are many good units out there i personally own a garmin and they are great and fairly easy to use a bit costly though but i wouldnt trade it for the world

I have the $100 model Etrex... It's ok as long as you're NOT in thick cover. <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>
I simply mark where my car is as a waypoint and then head into the woods. I also use it to help me find my spot in the morning darkness.
Once I got 'directionally challenged' and had to find a clear spot so I could get a signal. Once I got the signal and a direction back - I took out my compass and went from there...
