silentassassin, I know what you mean about an "understanding" with your neighbors. That is a fine thing, and you should feel very fortunate.

Obviously, I am talking about posted lands, or lands where you do not have permission, there is no "understanding" and the hunter goes on that land anyway and hunts.

On the thread that you are talking about certain posters literally bragged about killing GAME animals out of season, and illegally using dogs to track animals, among other things. I referred to that as poaching and them as poachers. They brag about it, publicly and loudly, and they fit the definition to a T. The author of that thread boasted by saying something to the effect "I don't know if using dogs is illegal. It doesn't concern me much." …..That is what you are defending, silentassassin. Think about that.

I would like you to take a moment and re-read what you have publicly stated on this board. (I hope you don’t mind that I took the liberty of editing out your vulgarity) It bespeaks your hostile attitude and total <u>disrespect for the rights</u> of all landowners:

” It is absolutely absurd to think someone would not let you retrieve a deer on their property. The simple fact of the matter is that if someone wont let you track a deer on them then they are a first class pr*ck and it is they who are disrespecting the animal and they should be forced to allow you to retrieve it.”

Can you imagine someone teaching their kid’s those types of values?

Can you imagine that type of thing being taught in a Hunter Education Class?

I also agree with Janc to a point.

It amazes me how people think they know someone because they converse on a messsage board.People naturally exaggerate things and others are just BSers.

I read some people posts and I think to mysef &quot;yea right&quot;.

The people on this board are just like the guys that hang out at the local bar.You have good and honest people.Guys that you can't believe a word they say.Tough guys(cybermusces=beer muscles) and people that are never wrong.The funny guy and the guy that wants to just fit in.I had a site that listed all the types of people you meet on message boards but it got deleted.It was pretty interesting.

This medium of conversation does make BSing alot eaiser because you never have to really meet the other person.

Look how many people go to one of those &quot;meet some one chats&quot; and think they are talking to a beuty queen then they find out it ain't exactly like that.

I'll be totally honest I kept a 14 3/4 inch walleye when the legal limit was 15.

If anyone really believes everything that they read on a message board,get a grip.lol.

Anyone that knows me, knows I am a stickler for rules and regs. Guess thats why they always ask me to judge fishing tournaments, even when I am friends with half the participants.
Why just today, while hunting a wildlife area near my house, I came upon a nailed stand in a tree (illegal in De. on state land) and a feeder made of pvc. well the feeder came out with me and into a dumpster and the tree stand is now fire wood.
Just wish I could be there to see the look on that persons face when they go there.
I believe people if they say they obey laws and would enforce them. Especially when said on a public forum. I will never meet most of you on here, so you have nothing relly to gain by lying.

The title of the thread is &quot;You people aren't that Honest.&quot; I state the obvious to illustrate that janc is throwing us all under the bus on this one. I'm not concerned with how many posts the person has, only that my integrity has been called into question as has yours. Whether or not we are all law enforcement officers has little to do with whether or not we obey the law. As pointed out, this may be a bit hypocritical, because I admit to speeding, etc., but I don't condone breaking the law by poaching. The main reason that I got stirred up in the first place is that janc makes it sound like &quot;it's ok if you don't get caught.&quot; What difference does it make whether or not we are all game wardens? Can we not obey the game laws when we aren't being watched? That is what janc was calling you on the carpet for, fellow posters. Don't lose sight of the fact that we have all been indicted by the thread.

Her big mistake was stating&quot;you people aren't that honest&quot;.Basically she is accusing us all not just suggesting some individuals may be dishonest.It's silly blanket statements like that that show a lack of forethought by the person making them.
