Howdy....
Hello, I wanted to say hi to everyone....I've just signed up....I hunt whitetails and turkeys pretty religously in SW VA....any other VA hunters in the house? Just wanted to say howdy and I look forward to sharing ideas with ya'll.......my bow season went pretty well, I took 3 does.....passed on some small bucks.....muzzleloading, I passed on the small bucks.....then rifle season, the last Friday, I seen a heck of a buck but wasn't comfortable with the shots I had, which looking back on it.....I believe I could have made the shot, but I just didn't wanna force it.....He was only 60 yards but he was above me and I was shooting offhand, through brush.....so I finished the rifle season with nothing.....again, letting some small bucks walk......I feel better wishing I would have shot, than shooting and possibly wounding it.....but since rifle season is over, I'm taking the bow back out the next couple of weeks, then the muzzleloader to finish out the season.......after that I reckon I'll start getting ready for next year....and doing some Spring Gobbler scouting......so ya'll take care and look to hearing back from ya'll.

I don't live to awful far from Danville, I live up near Blacksburg......can't wait to get into the woods this weekend to see how this snow's gonna affect the deer....Guess I'll hunt the edge of a big cedar thicket.....may have some luck, never know...reckon that's why I keep going...
