Everytime I hear someone call a rifle, shotgun or pistol a "gun", I hear Drill SGT. Smith yelling in the face of the offender... "This is your 'weapon' (M16) and this you 'gun' (not M16)! Get down and give me 30 and keep your weapon off the ground."

I now have a new "favorite", but it is actually a new favorite barrel on my favorite receiver. It is my Blaser R-93 synthetic with a new 243 barrel topped with a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm(my Swarovski will be here tomorrow). I shot 5 shot groups into one hole at 100 yards (off a bench) yesterday using Win Supreme 95 gr BTs. I have never owned anything that has shot like this.

In Missouri, I hunt with my 7mm Rem Mag with a Leupold VX II and a 150gr. Winchester Silvertip Bullet. In my homestate of IL, I hunt with my Winchester SuperX2 12 ga. with a cantileavered slug barrel and aBurris Shotgun scope, shooting 2 3/4 inch winchester partition gold slugs. These are hands down the meanest slugs I've ever encountered. When i was younger and still shooting my 20ga., one of these slugs stoned a good sized doe at what the range finder called 157 yards. My dad chewed me out for takin the shot, but there ya have it
. This year out of my 12 ga. I dropped a 230 lb field dressed buck at about 95. These slugs hit like a mack truck.
