RE: Trespassers..!

You guys are way too nice!!!!! If he had the guts to put the stand up on property which he clearly had no buisness on, I would have taken the stand down and called the game warden up and given the stand tothe game warden.. Then I would have left a note, stating: if you want your stand back, contact the game warden. Tresspassing is just sheer disrespect for one another, and I cannot and will not tolerate it. Even if this was a neighbor, what does this say about him... By rights, you did not take the stand (steal it), you just gave it to someone who has the authority to deal with the situation... and if that person feels that he/she had done nothing wrong by placing the stand there, then they'll have no problem retrieving it through the local game warden.... Come on, what does it take to ask for permission... And if you are a diehard deer hunter and your neighbor knows that,, it would infuriate me even more.. I put a lot of time and money into deer hunting and for some one to do that,,, I wouldn't worry about the way they felt, they better worry about the way I feel when I see them!!!!!!!!

Well, being too nice got me an additional 140 acres of some of the best hunting ground in southern Illinois to play on. I wanna see a show of hands from folks who wouldturn that down just tostay true tothegood old zero tolerance for tresspass rule.

I like your way of handling that problem I know I can always us an extra 140 acres to hunt plus you took an unfortunate situation and turned it into a good deal for both of you.

Our80 acresis posted and i do not suffer trespassers lightly. The neighbor allows us to hunt on his adjacent 120 acres and his grand kids hunt on our place. This is the most desireable deer acreage in the area. A few years ago i ran off an OK City cop who was quail hunting on our place. He started to give me some trouble but finally turned and left.

My BF has run into this in the past. He believes in 3 strikes your out. Will warn 2 x's " No tresspass; don't come back " .. Third x he catches you.. He calls the local C.O. Hunting license lost and fines...

The note was a good start, if there's a further trespass I'd let the local sheriff handle it, or the game warden if poaching is suspected.
That's what I was thinking....

I'm not generous enough to give 3 strikes. I'll give 'em one chance because I'm a benevolent type of guy who understands that people make mistakes. But beyond that, I've just gotten myself a new deer stand[:@]

Take it!...Most ethicalhunters use a marking tool to inscribe their name and or their address on them. If it's marked, report it! If it isn't, they have no proof it's theirs. It's yours!!!!!

I still think that Kevin1s idea of pooping on their stands would kind of cut the difference between being nice and being mean.

Well, Kevin does a six pack of beer and three plates of ham and beans at every meal. So, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go[:@]
