Wow, that is a beautiful deer. I'd hardly be able to contain myself if I had a chance to take a trophy like that, as usual I can hope poaching isn't involved but its a bad problem all over.

On my friend's property, we've found on three occassions (out of season), deer that have been killed and decapitated. The local game warden says that it's been happening quite a bit lately. Plain disgusting if you ask me.

I too come across my fair share of dead deer every year while shed hunting, last year I found 2 bucks that would have made the p&y book if found and the year before that I found 4 that would have made p&y..Lots of smaller bucks and does and fawns as well..Its hard to swallow as a good paitron of the outdoors, We all will wound a deer or 2in our lifetime, as hunters things happen that we dont expect but I used to work with a guy that in 1 year shot 6 bucks and never found any of them finally his 7th one, the land owner found it like a week later and his buddies made him go over and tag the deer and take it in and register it even though the deer was rotten...He does that kind of crap every year.Not to that extreme but still come on...I have been hunting for 20 years and have shot literaly hundreds of big game animals from coast to coast and I can count on one hand the number of deer that I have lost to bad shots or bad conditions...Some people have no ethics what so ever...Its sure not helping the sport none is it...

That sucks,that is like the one i found a couple of years ago.it was a nice 8 point buck and i like it but found it dead in a cow pasture.
