I think its mostly that some hunters shoot a few deer and then they think they know everything.

lastyear my brother shot his first buck,a 6 point. it was a beautiful deer. I was just so proud and happy for him, but myuncle and his parents (he married into the family) kept saying stuff about how tiny it was, and how he should have let it walk and all kinds of stuff. I sat there and watched my brotherssmile turn completley upside down. It made me feel so bad. I kept telling him how happy I was for him, and how his deer was truly a trophy. But human nature only allows us to remember the bad.We all should be able to pat each other on the back no matter what happens. We are a band of brothers, an elite group. We should band together, and fight forour God givin right to what we love.

Jealousy for the most part. whether it is a guy that shoots a big buck, makes lots of money, has nice vehicles, or a beautiful woman. People hate successful people. By ripping on them, it makes them feel better because their own life sucks

HCH, I had to laugh when I read this, because I was following the thread in which this just happened to you.

I think it men in general, not just hunters. Part of it's trying to show who is the "pack leader". I think it's also a matter of "steel sharpens steel". Mental and verbal joisting makes each other sharper and better able to perform whatever it is you're trying to get done (e.g. kill and bring home the meat to family). I've heard that surveys show that more women are attracted to fellows that hunt than those who don't. Sorry any of those guys who golf.

Oh, and women who hunt, I think are sexy.
I golf and hunt. Nothing wrong with that. In Georgia...golf and hunting are something that many men do. Monday, I went duck hunting in the morning, and golf in the afternoon. It was a great day! Dont put down what you dont understand. And I have made many a panty moist after a golf game or after a hunt. As a matter of fact...I have gotten laid while trout fishing in the mountains with one eye still on the fishing pole. Women love men that have a competitive hobby that is manly. Especially those who play golf, hunt, fish, and play the guitar...I do all of them.

And ugly homely skank women who hunt.......are nasty. Hunting doesnt make a woman any sexier, UNLESS SHE IS ALREADY SEXY, AND THEN ITS LIKE TURN ON #1

Individual hunting styles, preferences, philosophies are like rectums; everyone has one, but thinks that everyone else's stinks more. Good formula for disagreements.[:'(]
