I have never been run over by a deer, but did get quite banged up running into a doe while I was cruising about 50mph on my YZ 80 in a tree farm when 14 years old. I smacked right into her, went over the handlebars, busted myself and bike up, and she trotted off.

Twice in my life it has happened to me.Onece in 1982 and this year.In 82 i caught the deer in mid air,a small doe.I slammed her down on her back and tried to control her feet.A verry comical situation from someone elses perspective. This year,I was hit below the ribbs by a little fork.he knocked me over a log,and kept going.I was fine when i got to my feet, but 5-10 minutes later i realy got wobbley legged and week.I even checked for extra holes to see if i could be bleeding to death. In both cases the deer got the best of me,and i am learning that im not the only thing deer run from.Staying off the side of game trails may be my lesson learned here.I guess deer have the right of way!

I once had a deer leap over the blowdown in which I was sitting. I shot it in the heart without aiming. My muzzle was inches from the deer.
Twice while bowhunting on the ground I've had deer come in nearly close enough to touch, but behind cover.
Once while shooting at a doe & fawn, I missed at 30 yards running, they turn and come right toward me. I'm on the lead doe with my open sights, she turns broadside at about 15 feet and I drop her, I step aside so the fawn doesn't hit me.

I was posting once on a drive a long time time ago, I was probably 16 or 17 at the time.I set down at a fence crossing behind some weeds and the drivers started towards us.They kicked a few does out and one particularly large doe came down the trail at me.Back then the tags were all buck only so I couldnt shoot her, didnt really expect her to keep coming either. She did and all I could do was get in the fetal position as she jumped the fence, she made it over the fence and me but her back hoofs hit the ground about 2 inches from my head, scared the crap outta me and probably woulda hurt like hell if she had connected.Since then Ive been real fond of sitting off to the side of these crossings

[/align]One time at dawn I was creeping up a creek bottom and I heard 2 bucks going at it in the water ,I got to where I could see them in the low light I was on a narrow trail in thick growth when another buck came flying down the trail at 2 yards I though the bow up to protect me like that was going to help but thats all I had.My movment save me from being run over ,he crashed around and over me.I raised a lot of deer and had to catch a few escapees ,they would kick the poop out of me ,If you ever have to try that wair a lot of heavy cothing and gloves .What would I pay to have that video of my younger days?

I didnt but my dad did, it was back inabout 77-78 he was on a ledge just below the top of a ridge and doe came flying over and put her head in his stomach and 1 leg on each side of his legs and they both came crashing down the hill. I would have to say the doe got the better half of the deal seeing she just ran away and my dad still to this day has to put up with the jokes.. Walt

It's strange that I found this post. I'm not here often (enough) but I had a whole bunch of deer nearly run me over 2 days ago.
I was walking with my dog leashed in the preserve woods when I heard great noise coming from up ahead. It was somewhere between 15-20 deer running pretty much full blast. Some real nice bucks too.
I said to myself that something had to make them deer run like that. Soon I see a big tanish lab running around thru the woods. Followed by it's owner, who looked like a hunter type to me with the camo hat.
I asked him to leash his dog cause it was jumping around my dog. I told him all dogs were supposed to be leashed in there. He laughed and asked how he was supposed to train his dog to run deer if it's on a leash?
I walked away and called the DNR and let them know. They said they were sending an officer. Before I got out of the woods more deer ran back past my way cause he was still doing it.
The deer were running out across the road and could have caused anaccident.
