just wandering if everyone here has scored yet ths year for a deer, doe or buck, and if so how many deer have you killed this year so far. i have killed one and i have been in the woods for like 2 straight weeks w/out another hit, what about yall? how many deer have you killed in this 2006 season? thanks guys

I just killed my 6th one of the year tonight with a muzzleloader.

Two with a bow 1 doe 1 button buck
Two with a shotgun 1 7pt buck 1 doe
Two with a muzzleloader 2 doe

Its been a good year for sure.

Two so farwith a .30-06, doe and button buck.

So far I've managed to put 2 down.

1. Archery - Oct 30- Shot a small spike at about 25 yards. I thought it was a doe until I walked up to it.

2. Rifle - Nov 20 - Shot a doe at 85 yards as it came out onto the powerline.

I've been out a total of 31 times this year and to be honest, I just havn't been seeing a lot of deer. I attribute this to the warm temp and lack of food sources where I hunt. Our season ends on Jan 6 and I'll go out at least 2 more times if it's not too windy. I also got busted drawing or got caught without my bow in hand at least 3 times.

I learned that my land doesn't hold nearly the amount of deer I wish it did and the ones I shot there were on the small side.

Passed on a lot of smaller bucks but only seen a couple large bucks... too far for a shotgun....

stopped shooting does after the fifth one though, ran out of people that Needed them...

I've gotten two. One with bow and one with muzzleloader. They were both big does.

I went out about 8 times by the way.I saw deer about 4 or 5 of those times.

I managed to get 3.
