That's a bit far for my comfort level. I've had my .270 less than a year and haven't really had a chance to get it tweaked just right yet.

But I would probably only take that shot on the last day of the season if I had no other kills and I KNEW I could hit it. Today, at the halfway point, I'm not so sure.

I personally would think about taking the shot.......until I realized forthedistance of the shot.....I would also have to drag a doe!

I'd definitely pass. Smaller deer, mid-season, longer shot....wait for better gift.

Use those big pines as cover between us to get 50 yards closer.

i would not take that shot cuz in the great Buckeye State the only problem is shotguns only for deer.
and i use my friends 12g slug-gun.
our football team rocks but we are stuck usin slug-guns.

A 30-06 zeroed at 200 would be perfect!
