RE: Mass or Spread
a mature deer, and 99% of the time in my neck of the woods - a mature deer is a massive deer - A nice spread 17 inches plus, is justthe icing on the cake.

RE: Mass or Spread
I voted for mass. Not just mass, what I really like are the UGLY non typical racks with kickers and drop tines all over the place

RE: Mass or Spread

Yeah I remember this post from last year!

RE: Mass or Spread
I voted for mass, but if the wide rack had good tine length it would be a tough decision. Not a big fan of wide racks with short tines.

RE: Mass or Spread
Perhaps it is the genetics of the area that I hunt but up here hunting the thick woods in central Canada I've mostly seen heavier massed racks with out the huge spread. I look to big bodied deer first and rack second. You can't eat antlers.
