Get a 30.06. It is probably the most versatile gun you'll find, and it can take any deer just as well as any other caliber.

Don't look back...

I have a choice of weapons to use for Deer but somehow I ALWAYS grab my .270 Ruger M77 Carbinewhen my arm enters the gunsafe. I said it before and I'll say it again "My .270 has a proven record whyuse any other Weapon"

you've already got the perfect caliber. Theres not a deer on this planet that the 270 wont put in the freezer if you do you're part.

Depending on how you look at it, it is way too big! .177 pellet gun is what you need! On the other hand, anything less than .50 BMG is too small!
Seriously, it is all you'll ever need, and if I just had to have another rifle (which we all need) it wouldn't be a .257 Weatherby!

I say go with a 460 Weatherby or 375 RUM. Never know when they might get back up and come after ya! No such thing as overkill ya know!!
