A buddy of mine just came back from the mountains of Va with a weird story. He was black powder hunting and he took a shot at a fare 8 point, 180 to 190 lbs. He said that the ball changed direction in the deer with hitting the hide alone. It sounds weird, he shot and it hit the deer above the shoulder and angling away. The guy over the ridge ended up killing the deer and when they checked it out the ball did not hit any bone, and exited the same side that it entered. I would never think that the flesh and meat wou;d turn a 50 cal that much.

All i can say is bad charge.
