OK, I'm gonna show my ignorance here. [&o]

I've heard a little about this PETA B4. Can someone enlighten me as to their purpose?

I've often wondered about petasux's screen name.

Ok, so school me!

I hope that you talked her out of it. Here at school we had a teacher who was a member and she got out after about 6 months of learning more about them. They do not even believe in having an animal as a pet.

No they didn't get one red cent. I mailed a photo of my recent buck harvest and informed them to take me off their mailing list. She had a better understanding after I sat her down and laid it out on the table for her. Man I wished I could be there when they open the envelope. LOL!!

PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. But they are Waaaaaaayyyy out there. They believe animals have rights above and beyond humans. They believe killing an animal (for meat, sport, or whatever) is murder. And since you are from NC, they are also the group that was busted in NC last year dumping dead dogs and cats (that they volunteered to kill because they would be less cruel) in local dumpsters.

I think its fantastic that you mailed them a hunting photo, my only criticism is that you wasted a .39 stamp on that worthless organization. I recall when they were attempting to spray hunters with perfume a few years ago in northeast PA. PA has followed by enacting a law against anyone who intentionally harasses hunters while afield. Good job educating the wife.

PETA is an extremely left wing, liberal organization that is opposed to anything that they consider to be harmful to animals. They think that insulting an animal hurts there self esteem so that should be illegal. They are radical, stupid, uneducated, highly emotional, unstable, and very well funded. they get some air head from Hollywood to take up their cause and sniffle on tv and the next thing you know millions are flooding in. They try to outlaw everything from Rodeos to Trapping.

HSUS or Human Society Of the United States is even more dangerous. HSUS files lawsuits constantly attacking or rights to hunt. The only organization that we have that consistantly fights these radicals is Safari Club International or SCI. If anyone reading this isn't a member of SCI and the NRA I sugest you do a search and get the paperwork started to join both of them. Many don't agree totally with some of the things SCI supports (ie high fence hunting) but they are the only organization we have that is fighting for our rights.

My wife once got an HSUS calender in the mail and was about to find somewhere to hang it when I happened to stroll by . I took one look at it and told her to get that wretched thing out of the house . She was perplexed by this until I informed her that , no , they aren't the American Humane Society that runs the animal shelters , they're the single largest and best funded antihunting organization in the country and that there was no way in hell she was hanging that thing in my home . I ended up trading her my brand new Wildlife Forever calender for it so that I could have the priveledge of taking hers outside for a good "soaking" followed by a trip to the burn barrel .

SCI is a big pro-hunting organization, but do not forget all of the manufacters offirearms, hunting gear, etc...as they have quite a bit of bearing on protecting hunting, if for nothing else, so they can continue to make profits.

The whole story is that we donate to a lot of charitable organizations. We have three pets ....a German Shepherd, and two siamese cats that we got from rescues. Somehow some way we ended up on the mailing list for PTEA? LOL. She thought that they were a nice organization that helped out animals. She was actually going ot make a donation. I explained to her what these people were about. I told to contact them and tell them that her husband was an avid hunter who has harvested 18 deer, 1 Bull Elk, 4 coyotes and too many squirrels and fish to count in the past eleven years and see if they still wanted our money. I would rather donate to Hillary's campaign than PETA!
ahahahaha thats too funny!
