I hunt in central wisconsin i hunted 7 of the 9 days of the gun season we are restricted on space with 3 guys on 40 acres. I seen over 30 does and fawns this season and only 2 small bucks is there any way to attract more bucks to the area?

The big bucks are there it is just a matter of finding them. Wisconsin gun sewason can be tough the big bucks feel pressure they hide out better. Find a spot not to see a lot of deer just the deer. It makes for a longer sit but could pay off in the end.

Why don't you shoot a doe?
That's one of the contributing factors to Wis. having the CWD problems. Everyone wants to shoot a buck.
If you hunt with a bow, you don't care what you get, as long as it's what you're hunting for.

Same problem I thought I had. No buck sign, no pics on trail cam, etc. ALL does. 1st time I hunted there I got a nice 8 pointer. (Check my picassa link.)He was chasing a doe across the field. BE PATIENT!!!

tell em to move north! i hunt near pelican lake and we got at least a 1:1 buck to doe ratio around here, and if i had to guess id lean more towards 3:2 buck to doe. ive gotten pics of 11 different bucks in our area and had sightings of a monster. How was your season? i shot a fork opening morning, and my dads buddy got a doe this past saturday, so out of 11 guys hunting 7 days we only got 2 deer, and didnt see too many more, but ive heard numbers are right around last year. its frustrating i know, but it should pick up later this week with the cold snap coming, so either get out with the smokepole or bow, or wait til the T-zone and take care of some of those does. I'd bet there are plenty of bucks around with that many does, they are probably just sittin tight in the thickest cover around. hang in there, they gotta move some time.
