To answer your quetsion,It depends on the elevation above sea level, along with other factors such as barometric pressure, and the earth's tilt on it's axis, but, it usually depends on the gravitational pull of the moon relative to the earth at the time of rattling.

There's nothing quite like getting blasted on your first post.
Bucks may still respond to rattling but not like they would've a month ago.
If they've been pressured by rifle hunters, they probably won't respond.
