Your slugmaster will knock any deer down at 100yrds . I would use this.
The only thing I would take into consideration is if you know that your shots may be 125yrds and up I would then consider using the rifle.

125 yards seems to be quite long for a slug to travel with lots of accuracy, but if you're confident that your gun has done it in the past, I'd use it. If you have ample time to practice with the rifle and there's a good chance that deer will present at 125+ yards and you think you'd be kicking yourself later for not being able to take that shot with good conscience, that's the other side...
