I have a 270 WSM and I like it but it has a little too much recoil for me and ammo is kinda hard to fine and its pricey. Is a 270 win or 308win have less recoil then a 270 WSM? My co-worker that I hunt with has a 30-06 and he shot my rifle and told me that mine has twice as much recoil as his. How is that possible?

Try putting a Limbsaver recoil pad on it. They make several model specific pads.

I have them on several of our guns and they make a difference.

Im young, but a .270win doesn't have much recoil, if any, most guns you dont even notice it kicks when your'e in the field though your to ready to see your kill. But I can see it a problem if you target shoot.

Recoil is a very different experience for everyone, to some a particular gun may have soft recoil, but to others, that same gun may have heavy recoil.
