Soark, how many can you boys shoot a year? Ah it's the size of the experience that counts not the rack....right?
Well I scored my 5x7 and he ended up netting 157 5/8 with a gross of 174 7/8 (green)...ugliest 150 I ever shot. Deceiving rack due to the abnormalities ( i figured I be lucky to break 150), but he had a 25 3/4" right beam, 25 on the knot left and a 22 1/2 inside spread. The mass added her up to with the base's measurement at 6 1/2 on both right and left. I figure this bugger was at least 7 and on his way down the ladder...damn thing hand no back teeth almost) No record or mounter but still an alright deer. Speaking of alright deer my neighbour showed up tonight with a wild looking 7x8 shoot in the bush while moose hunting. Scored him at 192 3/8 green nontypical...all this with only a 18" spread and 19" beams...the kicker was we figured he was in that 3-4 year old range a young buck with a record book run...but comes up short. Typically he gets hammered do to the abnormalities as well but comes in a 165 7/8...good enough for his basement wall.
Hey good luck to you and your son!!!

RE: arkansas deer season HELP
I am in the Marshall area and have seen plenty of rubs and scrapes, but the bucks are not with the does. I have noticed the farther into the thickets and wooded areas I get, the more deer I am seeing. Hope to see the big boy in the morning.
The best of luck in all your hunting endeavors!!!
God Bless,
Dave
