I hung a treestand today. I was wondering how long I shouldnt hunt this area?

I hunt the same day I hang the stand. The first time that buck goes by the stand, I want to be in it.

Depends on what time you put the stand up. If you put it up say 11;oo or 12;00. I would go ahead and hunt in it that night, or the next day, shouldn't be a problem.

Depends if it is before the season or during. I will hang a week or two before but during I will adjust and hunt it the next day

If I hang a stand and want to hunt it right away, I take extra caution in eliminating any odor in the area. Have never had a problem, and see plenty of deer using new stand sites.
